The trial of independent TDs Clare Daly and Mick Wallace has begun at Ennis District Court.

Both Dáil Deputies have pleaded not guilty to charges of illegally crossing the fence and entering unauthorised areas of Shannon Airport on July 22nd last.

Deputy Wallace is representing himself while Ms Daly is represented by a solicitor.

The Court has watched CCTV footage of both deputies in areas of the airport and heard they told airport police they wanted to inspect US Military planes at the time.
