US bank Citi creating 600 new jobs in Belfast

An American banking group is creating 600 new jobs in Belfast.

Citi, which already employs 1,500 people in its Titanic Quarter site, is making a £54m (around €67.6m) investment.

The roles have an average salary of £35,000 (approx €43,860) a year, and will generate £21m for the local economy.

The company's UK head of the operation, James Bardrick, says Belfast had an advantage when the group decided where to expand:
