A former WWE champions has caught a burglar at his home, and held him for police using a chokehold.

Bryan Danielson (pictured) – known to fans of wrestling as Daniel Bryan – spotted two suspects running from his home as he was pulling into the driveway of the property in Phoenix.

The former WWE World Champion, caught one of the men and held him there until police arrived using a ‘bare naked chokehold’. Bryan said that once he had a hold of the suspected thief, the man repeatedly apologised.

Speaking at a press conference after the incident, Bryan said he gave chase “out of instinct” but it was “probably not the best thing to do because you don’t know what is going to happen.”

Bryan is currently out of action following a neck injury.
