It's almost too ironic to be true. A rumour - with accompanying image - has been circulating over the last few days alleging that a Titanic exhibition was forced to shutter as a result of water damage. You can see the image below:
Is the rumour true? It seems so. Various local news sources have reported that Fleetwood Museum's Titanic exhibition was indeed closed late last week, right in the middle of the powerful storms that battered the UK. Although there is no mention of the closure on the Fleetwood Museum's Facebook page, the closure was reported by BBC Northwest, Cleveleys News, Blackpool Today and the parent Lancashire Museums organisation:
