Liverpool open their Champions League campaign against Ludogorets tonight, coming off the back of Saturdays 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

It’s been a bumpy start to the season for the Reds, who have won two and lost two of their opening four premiership games.  

Liverpool have an excellent record against Bulgarian sides in this competition, having won six out of the eight games they've played.

The visitors, known to Bulgarians as the Eagles, are without their first and second choice goalkeepers – 26-year-old Canadian Milan Borjan will make his debut, after only signing for the club last Sunday.

Ahead of this game, Rodgers has been talking about his own team’s form and assessing the Bulgarians, who've won only seven out of their fifteen ties in their domestic league so far this season.
