England rugby union legend Jonny Wilkinson is to retire at the end of the season.

A widely expected decision, he has now made it official in a short statement on his club Toulon's website.

Wilkinson famously won the 2003 World Cup for England with the crucial drop goal.

The two final games of his career will be the European Cup final against Saracens on Saturday, followed by France's Top 14 final on May 31st.
