Speculation over Greek support measures

The Euro’s rebounded from a near 8 month low against the dollar, amid optimism the EU will announce support measures for Greece as it struggles with a massive national debt.

It also has the highest budget deficit in the Eurozone.

European Central Bank president Jean Claude Trichet has left a policy meeting in Australia early to attend a gathering of EU leaders tomorrow.

This is prompting speculation that a statement on Greece is imminent.
