United Drug says profits will be in line with last year

United Drug says its profits will be in line with 2009 levels.

This is despite the newly agreed deal between the Government and drug manufacturers to cut the prices of wholesale drugs by 40%.

In an interim management statement, the company said the new agreement would hit revenue at its wholesale division.

The Dublin-based company employs some 6,000 people in 35 businesses across Europe and the US.
