City look for big win and 4th place

Manchester City can take a significant step in their quest for champions league football tonight.

Relegation threatened Bolton are the visitors to Eastlands where a win for the hosts would send them level with Liverpool in fourth place.

City boss Roberto Mancini knows his side must improve after last weekend’s dismal showing at Hull.

Patrick Vieira and Adam Johnson may start after the pair impressed as substitutes against the Tigers.

Bolton are without Gary Cahill, who has suffered a blood clot in his arm and is set to miss the rest of the season.

Elsewhere bottom side Portsmouth entertain Sunderland, with both sides desperate for a win, Wigan host Stoke while Burnley travel to Fulham.
