Greens divided on O’Dea despite voting unanimously

Claire was joined by Green Party TD, Paul Gogarty, to discuss the controversy around Minister for Defence Willie O’Dea.

In this interview Gogarty reveals….

- Eamon Ryan had 7-minutes to prepare for the debate on Willie O’Dea

- John Gormley spoke privately to O’Dea and backs him. He said, “If John Gormley didn’t support the Minister, he wouldn’t be there right now.”

- Despite voting unanimously in confidence on Minister O’Dea the Green Parliamentary Party was split between those who thought O’Dea should resign, those who felt he should stay and those in the middle.
