Dil Wickremasinghe

Dil Wickremasinghe is a Social Entrepreneur whose vision is to create an inclusive Ireland. She is currently Managing Director of Diversity and Equality Works which specialises in delivering diversity, equality and disability awareness training to the public and private sector. Through their services she hopes to assist the Irish workplace to embace diversity and equality thereby enabling each employee irrespective of their age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, religion, marital or family status or membership of the Travelling community to reach their full potential.

Dil moved to Ireland in 2000 to join her Irish partner whom she met whilst working in the Arabian Gulf for an international airline. Dil is a Sri Lankan national born in Rome. Since her arrival in Ireland Dil has been actively involved in numerous voluntary groups that campaign towards social and racial integration and has made numerous oral and written submissions in the Oireachtas. Dil is an active campaigner for same sex partnerships and gay rights.

Radio is Dil’s first love as she worked as a presenter for a national radio station in Colombo, Sri Lanka. More recently Dil was invloved in presenting and producing an intercultural programme on a local Dublin community radio station.
