Eoin McDevitt

A Dubliner, Eoin McDevitt has been working at Newstalk since 2002. He’s worked in every role in the sports department from researcher to reporter and now presenter. Eoin has previously presented the Saturday Sports Show. In 2006, he won Sports Broadcaster of the Year at the prestigious radio PPI awards.

El Tel’s Thingummywig (a hat with a wig attached designed to enable women to leave the house with their curlers in).

What’s the best advice you have ever heard?
He who builds according to every man’s advice shall have a crooked house.

What has been your worst moment on air to date?
Being told repeatedly by listeners that I look like Chris Moyles has begun to eat away at my self-esteem.

What would you call your autobiography?
All On My Eoin.

Ken Early, Steve Staunton, and Hightower from the Police Academy movies.
