Orla Barry

Orla Barry is a broadcaster and print journalist who has presented with Newstalk106-108FM since 2003.

She is also a documentary-maker, having produced documentaries mainly with a focus on development issues in Africa. Her documentaries include Dying for a Baby- the Danger of Infertility for Women in Uganda and What’s All the Noise – Is rap music the key to fighting discontent in Tanzania.

Cork-born Orla previously worked as a news reporter with South East Radio in Wexford and presented and produced a number of programmes on Radio Kerry including the station’s flagship talkshow “Kerry Today” and the afternoon show “Barrytime”

Orla writes for the Irish Examiner and Irish Independent newspapers. She is an avid film-goer and has a soft spot for anything dance related due to her two left feet.
