On tonight’s show, we’ll be talking about work experience – are interns gaining valuable job skills or are they being taken advantage of by tight-fisted employers? Dragon’s Den star and entrepreneur Gavin Duffy will be joining us along with Esther Lynch, Legislation and Social Affairs Officer with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. And our special guest this week is Rev Sonia Gyles of Milltown and Sandford Parish.
We’ll also be commemorating 100 years of Hollywood history – this week sees the centenary of the release of the first film made in Hollywood. Author Alon Hilu will be discussing his new novel, The House of The House of Dajani, set in 1895, fifty years before the foundation of Israel, which deals with the conflict between Jews and Muslims in the area. And filmmaker Joe Lee will be discussing Bananas on the Breadboard, his affectionate tribute to the Dublin women street traders of the markets area.
And of course we’ll have our weekly round up of this week’s cinema releases and movie news.
