A Country Worth Fighting For

George has begun a national tour, aimed at getting to the heart of what really matters to people in these changed economic times.

As a new era emerges far from the excesses of the Celtic Tiger, George will ask a crowd of locals, business owners and politicians in towns across Ireland, how do we move forward?

Convinced that politicians are no longer listening to the people they represent George aims to lend a well known voice to a country he believes is worth fighting for and wants to hear from you.

Over the next few months, George will be hosting these events throughout the Country and reporting back opinions, questions and issues raised at the talks on his evening radio show.

The latest event took place last Tuesday in The Glasshouse, Sligo.

Moncrieff’s Roving Reporter Henry McKean put together a video report on life in Sligo which was played at the event. Click on the clip below to watch it.

Email George with your comments and suggestions of locations for future visits at therighthook@newstalk.ie

Great session in Sligo last night – hope it just proves to be the start of something, and that we can actually achieve change, however small, through our own power. George, we are looking to you to spearhead the change we need over the next two weeks – we’re behind you, and if there is anything you need from us, just holler!!
