A family had a lucky escape last night after their house was shot at in Limerick.

The shooting occurred at Cliona Park in Moyross at around midnight.

A number of children were in the house at the time.

Shots fired through the front of the house caused damage to the front door and an upstairs window.

Gardai at Mayorstone in the city are appealing for information.
