Morning top 5: Polls open in Greece; and funeral to take place of man who drowned off Cork coast

Polls have opened in the Greece bailout referendum, as voters decide whether to accept a deal offered by the country's creditors.

Opinion polls suggest the "Yes" and "No" camps are neck-and-neck.

Polling stations will remain open until 7pm local time (5pm Irish time) for the first referendum there in four decades.

The funeral will take place today of Barry Ryan senior, who drowned off the Cork coast.

Search efforts will resume this morning for his son 21-year-old Barry Davis Ryan.

The men were swept out to sea after going into the water at Baltimore - in a bid to save 20-year-old Niamh O'Connor - on Tuesday night.

Ms O'Connor was laid to rest yesterday.

The Jack and Jill Foundation is urging the Health Minister to give all seriously ill children medical cards.

The charity says it is extremely disappointed that only youngsters with cancer are being given the cover.

Leo Varadkar announced the move last week.
